The last feature of the iPhone's camera is the zoom. Unless it's absolutely necessary, try to avoid using it if you can! It is a digital zoom, and because of this, the more zoom you use, the lower the image quality becomes. According to new research by NPD Group, Apple is managing to hold its own against the growing army of Google Android smartphones without the help of a new device—or at least, a new device color—on the market. The firm also named the iPhone 4 the top-selling mobile phone in the United States, followed by the iPhone 3GS, Motorola Droid X, HTC Evo 4G and HTC Droid Incredible. Smartphone sales increased 8 percent in the quarter, although overall handset sales apparently fell 1 percent.
According to other analysts, the presence of a white iPhone could have a significant—although not necessarily blockbuster—impact on the smartphone landscape through the summer.
“The purchase of consumer electronic devices is not always a completely rational decision, and people buy Apple products for many different reasons, including status, aesthetics, functionality, quality and the ‘cool factor,’” Brian White, an analyst with Ticonderoga Securities, wrote in an April 27 research note. “In our view, this delay has created a certain mystique and scarcity value around the ‘white’ iPhone 4 that we believe could drive incremental iPhone 4 purchases in the range of 1 million to 1.5 million units per quarter until the iPhone 5 potentially comes to market in September.”

They also have a better discharge curve than NiCd and Alkaline batteries especially under high current drain. NiMH batteries also have a longer lifespan than NiCds and are safer for the environment. NiMH is currently the most widely used high end battery technology, widely used now in modern Digital Cameras and Electric Vehicles.
Some disadvantages are a higher self-drain rate than NiCds and when over-discharged, polarity reversal can occur damaging the battery and causing it to fail permanently.
Li-ion
Lithium-Ion technology is by far the most advanced battery technology today. Maximizing your batteries performanceSo what about my batteries? As I mentioned at the beginning of the article, running out of battery power during an outing can be really depressing. • If your camera has an “Auto Power Saving” mode, use it. How precise that location data is remains in question. However, I think it's important that, with a few days' hindsight, we move beyond the bombast, pin down the facts, and see what's actually there. To do this, I've taken a close look at what's at risk and, in empirical spirit, borrowed fellow PCMag software analyst Jeff Wilson's iPhone 3GS to see what I could learn of the man and the travels using Pete Warden's iPhoneTracker app.
UPDATE: While I tested the tracking feature using the OS X-based iPhoneTracker, Windows users can access their data using iPhoneTrackerWin.
What and Who Is At Risk?
First, the bad news: if you're running iOS 4, your location-based data—latitude and longitude coordinates, coupled with timestamps—is stored on your phone in a file called "consolidated.db;" that file is automatically transferred to any machines with which you sync (and back up), and it's probably flowing back to Apple in some form or another. The worse news: if you haven't encrypted your backups, that data is unprotected.
Now, for the not-so-bad news. There's no confirmation that that data is leaving your custody and no evidence that Apple's harvesting it towards nefarious ends.
